Is it morality, or is it fear?
I lost my train of thought limping from the sofa to the computer, but I think it is cogent to the discussion.
Whatever it was I meant.
The relativity between Rust and Marty is compelling. Halfway through three episodes I am aware of the devolution of Marty and the climb of Rust. McConaughey looks better and better and the White Guys Can't Jump guy looks more and more in the shit.
I am reminded of the farmer story. Call it what you will. The farmer leans on his fence and chats with his neighbor:
"Yeah, son didn't come home last night."
To whit, the neighbor says,
"Oh, My! That is such a shame! I am so sorry! That is terrible!"
Farmer: "Well, maybe yes, maybe no.
The farmer's son subsequently arrives laden with booty.
"Look, dad!" I found ten wild horses! Now we can plow our fields and sell the rest for gold!"
Neighbor: "Wow! I am jealous! Isn't that great? Now you have all this stuff!"
Farmer: "Well, maybe yes, maybe no."

"You ever wonder if you're a bad man?"
"Nah, Marty. The world needs bad men."
+++++++++
Do you seriously say that you have read this stuff before?
